Terra Foundation for American Art
The Terra Foundation for American Art is committed to supporting projects designed to engage audiences around the globe in an enriched dialogue on American art. Through grants and initiatives the foundation has made it a priority to bring American art, interpretation, and research resources to international audiences, and has a particular interest in fostering multi-national perspectives. The Terra Foundation's collection of American art, which spans the colonial period to 1945 and includes over 700 objects, is actively loaned and continues to grow. In order to foster the exploration, understanding, and enjoyment of the visual arts of the United States, the Chicago-based Terra Foundation for American Art seeks to involve organizations and individuals around the globe.
